How a Fuel Plan Propelled this Athlete to the Next Level

- Kerrie S., Endurance Athlete

"Because I am an endurance athlete I always assumed I could eat whatever I wanted without any fear of weight gain.
Over the years I have played with 5 lbs of wiggle room. The last few months I noticed my junk food habits had become more intense— M&Ms and potato chips  became my go to food!  I knew I was going to have to be more disciplined but I wasn’t in any hurry. What really motivated me to change was the fact I had unwanted belly fat that I wanted gone. For all the exercise I was doing I should not have this belly fat that was peeking out!

I knew what I needed to do but needed accountability— this is when I enlisted the help of Amy Sutter. I have known Amy for years and knew, from her years of body building competitions, that she had the tools to teach me how to eat to become lean.

It took me about 3 weeks to wrap my head around a strict plan— food for fuel. No snacks, no alcohol, limited fruits, very limited carbs. This scared me into thinking I could not see this plan as reality.

Amy had me answer a survey about my eating habits, exercise habits, sleep habits etc. Based on my answers she sent me a very detailed plan on protein, carb, dairy and fat choices for my 5 daily meals. At first I was a bit confused but once I studied the plan it became very clear to me how to navigate my custom program. Amy warned me that meal prep would be key to my success so that I would have food readily available.

I will have to admit the first week was difficult- calorie deprivation was a real thing! In the past, if I was hungry, I would grab pretzels with peanut butter and eat them until I was full. I was managing my food by eating too many carbs and not enough protein. Amy suggested many different ways of preparing food that was super tasty and still within my parameters.

The first week I noticed I wasn’t feeling bloated or tired. And, the pounds started coming off! My goal was to lose 7-10 lbs and within a month I had achieved this. My body responded very quickly to the program- food for fuel. I was eating to fuel my workouts and it was working.

Amy answered every question I had either by email, text or in person. We had and still have a very good working relationship and I know I can go to her with any questions I may have.

Amy has helped me achieve a new outlook on how types of food can really make a difference in your body and your workouts. I feel confident that by using this plan as a lifetime choice  I can maintain this weight.

I would definitely recommend Amy to assist anyone who is pondering a life changing food plan. This plan is doable and can be achieved. You need to realize that it is a big mental game to hold onto the discipline it takes to make a change. Amy will give you the tools but you must do the work.

Thanks Amy for making a difference in my life!
A happy client,
Kerrie"
